This weekend, we present Antone Ateng with a Tricycle to aid his mobility. We had set a plea campaign to transform his life having crawled for 25 years. We will also seek this opportunity to discuss his economic activity with aim of working with well wishers and organizations to empower him by aiding his mobility. He is a cobbler and for the years has repaired shoes within the homestead for a living.
Ateng has six children and a wife. Ateng is scheduled to receive the his Tricycle in Kisumu rural West Seme at a church ceremony presided by the clergy and community elders this Sunday at St. Philips Ochok
Antone Ateng was born crippled in 1966, lower limbs deformed and weak. He cannot stand or walk. At class 7, he was taken for rehabilitation to no success.
We take this opportunity to thank National Council for People with Disabilities in Kenya for their cooperation to aid his mobility
