Eye witnesses say they saw two cops on a motor bike (boda boda) recklessly shooting in the air as they rode in pipeline estate which is in Embakasi South constituency. The residents question why the shooting in their estate yet the planned memorial rally was to be held in Embakasi east, Jacaranda grounds.
The residents refused the body of the child to be picked by police until proper records were taken in the presence of media and NASA leaders. Helplessly the mother looked at her son who was set to join class three this year lie on the floor in a pool of blood. From her ‘womb’ she cursed the police especially the one who fired the bullet
Today marked the President Inauguration ceremony which was held at Kasarani while the opposition NASA had planned a parallel event dubbed NASA memorial which was set to mourn those who had passed away in the struggle before this day.
The opposition members later made their way to Manyanja road but were later turned away by police. Their leader Hon. Raila Odinga however got to speak and declared he will also be sworn in in December 12th
Later in the afternoon Hon. Raila condemned the shooting by police of at least five people today including his daughter Winnie Odinga’s driver. Jacaranda Gardens had earlier been sealed off by police to prevent the memorial service from taking place, causing the stand off between the police and the youth on the roads and in the estates
